Born in Glasgow in 1944, Bruce McLean studied at The Glasgow School of Art and St Martins in London.

He is recognised as one of the leading figures in the development of conceptual art in Britain during the 1960s, often taking an unconventional and almost rebellious approach to art.

He has obtained international recognition for his work which is held in private and public collections worldwide including The Saatchi Collection, The Tate Gallery and The National Museum of Modern Art.

Our gallery website includes an example of one of his later original pieces of work.
