Maggie is a self taught artist, she enjoys playing, the excitement and the journey that ensues with her work and is delighted to be able to pass that on when people enjoy her paintings. She feels art is all about discovery.

Maggie was awarded a Highly commended for her picture Bobbin About in the 2008 Dover show and also had a picture accepted for the 2010 show. In 2009 she won the "Laurie Gray Award" for her picture "Horn of Plenty" and a Highly commended for "Tees Gondola" at the Darlington Society of Arts Annual Exhibition. Also in 2009 two of her works, "Horn of Plenty" and "Life is Just A Bowl of Cherries", were exhibited in the A1 Open Summer Exhibition.

During 2008 Maggie had a studio in Teesdale and was one of only 25 Artists accepted into the Teesdale Artists Network who all exhibited at the "Art Works Gallery" in Newcastle for a month.

Maggie has exhibited in local galleries throughout the North East and the paintings she has sold are now dotted all around the globe. She is always pleased when people give her feedback on the works they have purchased. Maggie believes it means such a lot to be able to reach people through her art.
