Clothylde Vergnes
Inspired conceptually by Paul Klee's notion of "Taking a line for a walk", and in practice by her experience of stained glass design, whereby colours are confined by boundaries, Clothylde's paintings are personal and stylised interpretations of the North Yorkshire Moors.
She weaves her life into her surroundings with oils, acrylics, watercolour and pastel, so that her paintings are both a reflection of a recognisable landscape and a narrative of her inner life.
