Carol Atkinson is a textile designer with over 9 years industry experience as a fashion designer.  In 2004 she launched her own range of limited edition and one of a kind knitted and felted fashion and home accessories.  She uses knitting, recycled fabrics, applique, hand embroidery and freehand machine embroidery to create unique bags, purses, hats, our 'throw away' society - she uses reclaimed  woollen jumpers to produce gorgeous new items from garments that would previously have been discarded.

Carol hopes that her designs question the normal perception of knitwear and at the same time raise awareness of traditional craft techniques which are in danger of being forgotten with the increase of mass production.  Her 'Re-use Re-cycle' range, especially, aims to challenge.
